For most intents, WordPress is just fine. But I’ve been experimenting with Classic Press which removes a lot of the bloated and useless crud that has accrued in WP since version 5 and the rush to embrace Gutenberg. I’m not a huge fan of GB, TBH. But whatever. The recent fuss over Matt, WP Engine and ACF has me worried. The whole WP community looks like it’s about to fracture. What’s the word in Christianity? Schism? Well, I think we’re reaching that moment. Matt is like Calvin or Luther or Henry VIII (if you prefer). WP is the Catholic church.
