Don’t forget to stock up on essentials for the next few days: things sometimes get wild in Tamsui, even ciggies & beer (if you must).

Clean your balcony/outdoor areas of things that can go airborne in heavy winds: BBQ sets, clothes, flower pots, etc. These can do damage to property and life. And unblock any drains on the balcony, too, if you think they need attention.

If you’re driving, try to avoid tunnels where flooding is possible or likely. There are warning signs but flash floods can & do occur. Drive slowly and carefully: and watch out for pedestrians, cyclists and scooters on the roads. People do drive even in the most ferocious winds.
