I took a look at my Mom’s death report. It really makes sobering reading…
It made me wonder if as is likely she suffered diabetes type II as well. That would lead to a lot of these complications, though not Afib. She always used to claim her blood pressure was fine.
But having read that, I wonder if she suffered metabolic syndrome where each of high BP, diabetes, cholestrol, obesity (both collectively and individually) made everything worse. Poor, poor woman. She also used to smoke for much of her life, as well as weigh around 88kgs. Which for her height would have given her a BMI over 36.
Look after yourselves, folks! Monitor your BP, cut the calories, lose weight, check with the doctor and exercise! It’s the only way! Medicine is the choice of last resort!
