Recently I had a high fever of 39.5 and went to the ER late on Sunday evening (nothing else was open)… I tell you those ER rooms are pretty busy with traffic accidents, and all sorts. Felt a bit like a fraud, but I knew that the fever wouldn’t go away without treatment!

I had time to look at the nurses and doctors’ scrubs and wondered how on earth do they manage to keep them clean with all the mess… But apparently, some of the scrubs are now becoming more ‘casual’ wear too! You get to see a lot in a Taiwanese hospital ER, perhaps less privacy than a western hospital… Weird, eh?

Anyway, the fever is responding to treatment now, on the third attempt to get an accurate diagnosis. Stomach flu induced fever! Hah! Quite a mouthful
