The sad reality is that these days politicians/marketers/vipers are now fanning the flames of fear on both sides of the political divide. While the nature of those fears may diverge, their commonality is that they are being used to make people feel AFRAID.
This has been true for years now whether you watch Fox/CNN/___ fill in the blank TV service. A long time ago, I really stopped paying that much heed to the mainstream news because of its sensationalist telling of stories that do affect us all.
The important point to bear in mind: the end of the world is not coming, no matter who says it is, the dollar is not going to hell (though the ride may be very bumpy), and that the US will not disappear (though it may seem like it). Simply, put aside your fears of what might happen, and build something for the future yourself.
Why? Because you are BEING MANIPULATED for other people’s gain. You are being manipulated to be passive. You are being manipulated to put your trust in them. Why? To get them into office, and the other guy out. It’s that simple. The fear is the tool of your being manipulated. If you don’t let it, then the politicians will have no other way to FORCE you to do what they need.
