It seems my poor aged P has broken a knee bone. My mother, you see, was diagnosed with arthritis at a very young age, for no apparent reason. At that time (in the 50’s) there was almost no real treatment for arthritis at all, but that didn’t stop her from cycling all over Scotland, and hillwalking the Lake District.
Unfortunately, she just recently experienced a broken knee bone that she had to rest up for nearly 10 weeks. Perhaps part of the problem is also due to bone density dropping in recent years, and a more sedentary lifestyle.
It was sad to hear this story, and I wished there was more I could do. Perhaps the next time we see an Arthritis charity requesting donations, why not spare some extra money for them? They might fund the research that prevents us from getting arthritis at an old age, too.
