I have been trying this … I find this software program in PHP much better in many ways than the old Coppermine.

It has a number of conveniences: upload tools, separate upload program, etc.

It seems a lot easier to manage too. I was endlessly confused by the multiple folder/user/upload folder combinations in Coppermine. Also, the interface seems easier to use, too.

You can visit it at http://investorblogger.com/gallery2

Overall, I prefer it, but it does seem to have a glitch with the webcam.

I recently wrote about problems with 403 errors and Gallery 2.

Message is: Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /gallery2/main.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to
use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "

There is a module called Webcam that can be installed by setup
procedure. I reinstalled everything and am now able to replicate the
behavior I mentioned before.

I would be delighted to let you check.
The URL is
http://investorblogger.com/gallery2
login: admin
pw: if you need it,let me know.

The error occurs after setting the webcam options in Admin Options
Import Webcam. Pressing either 'save' or 'reset' sets off the error,
then clicking some other options produces errors as a replication.

Initial checking on Gallery 2 website indicates that it's an apache
problem with certain security mods. But since I can't do anything
about that, Ithought you might like to check it out.

The problem file seems to be main.php

What little research I've done suggests this link:

I can't help feeling there's something that might need looked into!

BTW, Gallery 2 is much better than the Coppermine, a lot easier to use
overall.

Best Wishes
Kenneth
