My friend says I look ‘slim’ these days. I guess I do. I certainly feel more confident, more energetic and I enjoy clothes more than I ever did before, even if I no longer follow exact gender norms. I certainly appreciate the compliments I get on how I look. I never thought how important they would be. But it’s nice to be told: “you look slim”, “your clothes are carefully chosen”, “that suits you!”
Today’s Look
Today’s photograph features me in a pair of Next Parachute Pants (UK – L), gray, Uniqlo’s shirt in off white with a high collar (Taiwan – XXL), plus an intermediate layered net shirt for extra heat trap, NET Fashion’s men’s canvas shoes in gray size 45, gray tights from Amiss (not visible), and a gray thick hat (not visible). The sweater is a NET original that I didn’t wear much until I recently rediscovered it! I love the color. I’d never have thought that shade would work with me! I actually forgot to wear a jacket but even in Shintien’s chilly wet weather yesterday… I didn’t feel too cold.
I enjoy the lightness and the softer fabrics of these clothes compared to the typical guy version with more solid, coarser fabrics. I also realized how heavy guy clothes are since I adapted to this much lighter style of clothes.
I feel like I have much more energy and physical freedom of movement just because I don’t feel weighed down by heavy denims and thick cottons in 40C summer humidity of 80%+. Plus I don’t look at all girly, do I? You probably wouldn’t even notice. Just like I didn’t notice the lady with the delicious Cremia ice cream on the right!
