they really are. And dangerous! Yesterday I gave in to my plateau and had rice for dinner, several ice cream bars… geez!!! Plateaus are like the gates of ‘hell’! Once you reach them, your weight can do one of three things: increase again, stabilize or decrease. Therein lies the point of decision: do you give in? do you give up? or do you commit?
When my micro-targets are so close, plateaus keep them tantalizingly out of reach. In the past, plateaus have provided that opportunity to stabilize weight loss, acclimatise to a lighter ‘you’. For me, it’s frustrating since I managed to visit the 87.5~88kg plateau more than a few times.
