Run first...

Well. I left my exercise watch at school so I couldn’t accurately time my runs tonight. 2×1.5km sandwich runs.

Total time. 34m exactly 3km. Fastest pace 10:45. Slowest pace 12:48. Outward was faster.

Return was slower as I was tired (more uphill), so I walked a lot at the end. On the return journey, I started out walking slightly uphill.

Once it leveled at about 2m, I ran most of the way back until I hit another uphill and had to walk the final stretch.

No more juice in the tank at 11m. So I finished off walking. Probably the longest stretch I ever ran before. I might be able to move 2km without stopping or doing an interval sometime soon.

Yes. Keeping more in the tank makes sense. The ‘hills’ aren’t really hills. They are inclines but I don’t have as much stamina for them yet.

AD is quite a mouthful. It sounds quite made up. Can we call it something more sensible? Like jelly legs?

Ok. That is interesting. I saw that in my very own 3K runs. Same speed but each additional interval the heart has to work a little harder.

Cardiac drift is due to lesser hydration.
