Well after the kerfuffle of Christine’s heart failure… she’s on the mend. But it’s gonna take a while before we know if the surgery succeeded. We are hopeful… I’ve started exercising again. It’s March, it’s weight loss season. This time around, I’m aiming to reach 80kgs.

But I’ve failed several times at this target. Perhaps it’s been too ambitious. Perhaps late summer isn’t the best time to lose weight. Perhaps I shouldn’t be trying to lose weight when my body is craving winter calories. I don’t know! I recorded my weight at 84.4kgs this morning which is within the range I had set myself to stay within: 84~85kgs over the winter. Somehow, despite everything, I managed it. Just.

This week, I started exercising again daily. I’ve managed to keep a regular amount of about 10hours a week during the winter of ‘move time’. Thanks, Google Fit! That’s about the ONLY thing you’re good at measuring these days. I only dipped twice below that and by about 5%.

My race calendar is dead. My times are back to between 10m~11m per KM, and I’m still pretty exhausted on the whole from the drama of the last two months. One day, perhaps I’ll blog about it. But right now, it’s just to raw to write about.
