Wow how can it be that this is Starbucks Coffee? I had to ask the store to remake the Americano but still only marginal improvement. It lacked body it lacked depth. It lacked flavor. The coffee was over extracted, burned, lacks any subtlety at all. Supposed special beans.

Over the years, I’ve noticed that some SB stores have their machines dialed correctly. Some don’t. And the baristas don’t really have any control now over the machines. The only thing they can do is make another one. They can’t even tell if the coffee is over-extracted.

SB used to be about coffee… no wonder SB wanted to remove the word coffee from their name. It’s embarrassing to tell people you had coffee there. I had ‘something’ there that was brown in color, hot and watery. Was it coffee? Mmm. Not much choice…

Louisa closed. Cama Closed. I have to admit even FM has better coffee these days. Then I remembered UCC Market restaurant does hand poured coffee in Sogo.

Tienmu Sogo doesn’t really have many choices for coffee. Goodman’s across the road closed (or moved). The coffee moreway near Carrefour doesn’t do coffee now for drinks. No one seems to drink much coffee after 9pm. Just dishwater options, it seems. What, people in Taipei are too worried about their sleep? IMHO, they’re not drinking ENOUGH coffee.
