I mean, apart from the fact that it’s not beef… How is that a Beef Wellington? It’s just a giant sausage roll, albeit vegan with undercooked pastry.
Let’s not mention the methylcelluse, HFCS, and other weird thickeners that pass for ‘healthy’ or ‘better for you’ or ‘better for the planet’? I’m very sympathetic to the desire to create vegan food, but too often the stuff that gets shovelled to us in supermarkets as ‘vegan’ is anything but healthy.
It’s often highly processed with numerous adulterations or additives you wouldn’t find in a kitchen. Look, vegans, it’s simple: buy vegetables and whatever and cook them at home. Don’t be selling ‘vegan meat’ as meat… it’s not healthy, it’s not meat… and it probably doesn’t taste THAT good, either!
