Fresh vegetables, fish and chicken. Restaurant food was so generously proportioned. Wow! I couldn’t eat that much for lunch. What a pity!

We also had some vegetarian dishes, which I tried but didn’t enjoy much, except the tofu. Without garlic or onions, I don’t know why people bother eating out in restaurants like this. It’s pretty tasteless otherwise.
I definitely preferred the fish dishes. The pork was way too fatty but I know that’s the way people like it. I also tried the fish head soup. Wow! That’s more a stew than a soup. It had EVERYTHING. I’m not sure why it’s popular but it’s a signature dish there.
The restaurant is located just outside Sanmin in Taoyuan City, so it’s not so easy to get to without a car. It’s not fine dining by any means, but the quality food is well-prepared and the restaurant is popular with local people, esp. on Sundays.
It is decidedly not a tourist restaurant… so don’t expect too much in the way of tourist mod cons.
