Wikipedia says: “When completed in 2025, the bridge will be the longest single-tower, cable-stayed bridge in the world.” At GBP1/2 billion it should be, wouldn’t you say?
Those new year fireworks shows will be spectacular from the bridge! Refreshingly, it will be a four lane bridge with a light rail system and two paths for pedestrians/bikes. The LRT system is already operational one out of four lines. It’s funny to think my grandfather was a tram driver in Edinburgh. We’ve come full circle regarding trams.
