Finding the time to run is the biggest challenge to overcome.

Run first…

If you’re a busy mother/father or working O/T (or both)… it can be hard to control your time. The boss needs your pound of flesh, the spouse and children your time, love & care! You doubtless have other commitments on top of those.

But if you can find a place/space/time to run, don’t fritter it away! Unless frittering it away is also an essential item on your personal care list! For me, though, the biggest challenge is just finding any old excuse to not do exercise.

It’s too ___________(insert random adjective) so I’ll pass just now.

Just getting the habit going is the hardest part. Sometimes I give myself permission to indulge in ice cream a little or take a day off… sometimes. I don’t feel guilty about it. The next day I get back on the regimen.

But for the longest time, the mind games associated with avoidance were just the worst. How did you overcome that challenge?
