I slipped up on my schedule of posting regular updates. But rest assured, fellow readers… I didn’t quit my exercise schedule. In fact, I’ve doubled down on what I’ve been doing. Longer rides, more frequent running sessions, and cutting back on carbs for dinner.
The result has been a slow turn around of the ship: “Losing Weight”. It was originally oriented towards success, but a storm helped us veer off track, and continual ‘bad’ weather exacerbated the situation by sending us in the wrong direction to Port Obesity again.
This image highlights how difficult it is to turn a ship around. But we might see some progress.
I’ve managed to integrate training for my next 4Ks into my regimen now… it was a bit of an uneven swell at the beginning. The seas got even choppier before last week’s run. But now I’ve decided it’s something I want to do several more times.
Somewhere though we got raided by Indian pirates who force fed me delicious curries with breads while I was captive. Then after the run, it was the turn of Mexican brigands who fed me tacos and fries. Those two events did not help!
Now I’m keeping detailed track of carbs & junk food that I’ve had for dinner in detail. The food diary is helpful to make me aware of what I’m doing. Otherwise I think it’s just this once, so it won’t matter. If it were ‘just this once’… it wouldn’t. But it actually wasn’t ‘just this once’… just this once EVERY DAY.
See what I mean! I then switched out from big dinners to eating yogurt and fruit, while having a slightly more extended lunch. With Moon festival in full swing, it’s been hard to avoid the cookies & cakes. But I’ll get much better at it after Tuesday.
In fact, last night I think I skipped dinner, except for a protein milk drink. I didn’t feel particularly hungry after exercising.
Anyway, we’re back to July 23rd’s weight: 83.7kgs (est.). That’s a long round trip on the ship – Losing Weight.
