Unfortunately, I saw today that it’s become another ‘victim’ of the Urban Expressway that’s being built along the riverside. I’ll miss it.
It’s visible on Google – Google Maps but there is no information about the temple. So I’m guessing it was a farmer’s homage. I remember I had images of it from April when I was shooting the demise of another building nearby …
… but as I was passing today, I saw that much of the little temple seems to have gone under due to the Expressway Building Projecting connecting Beitou and Tamsui. It was a lovely bit of color on the walk through the Mangrove Forest. I wonder if the construction company will rebuild it or not. Sigh!
There is little information on the temple, other than it was built on private land so inaccessible generally. These photos were taken from the nearby Mangrove Forest public access pathway on my Nikon D3000 55mm lens. Not the highest quality. But I was using it because it was the lightest camera I had at the time.
