Well, it turns out the Sex Pistols not only asked God to Save The Queen, but they inadvertently saved my efforts at jogging. That, and a stop watch which I could add time to quickly.
With the idea of jogging a measured distance/step count, I would alternate with equal amounts. But I tried distance measuring, it just helped me focus on how far. I tried step counts… though counting is easy… when you’re less observant, you forget how many sets and really as I discovered…
Neither helps you forget that you’re jogging. Meaning you’re reminded how difficult it is EVERY SINGLE GODAMN STEP.
But Lady Fortune smiled when I hit the screen on my phone by accident and queued up the punk rock play list I saved on my phone. It started with the Sex Pistols: God Save The Queen… for more see below!
I didn’t get very far down the playlist … yet. Wonder if I can play them loudly on Saturday. But thanks go to Anthony for the suggestion!
I’ll take your running advice. I tried steps (got too hard to count) and meters (too vague) but times might work for me. Easier to set a recurring timer.
