I know it’s not practice for a 4km… but anyways that’s what I did today.
I went to buy some running shoes but to be honest, not only did I not know what I was looking for… I didn’t even look for a pair. Sigh!
Tim Ho Wan: Dinner
Still we ended up at Tim Ho Wan for dinner. Food was quite decent… we both ordered the Congee thinking it would be small bowls. They brought out these massive bowls, obviously designed to be shared. Funny thing is after riding all the way there… we were quite hungry. So they were gone in a flash.
Also, ordered the shrimp rolls in soft rice pastry; and some radish cake which was light and fluffy. Hard to believe how tasty it was. Now, it wasn’t the most filling meal we had at a Dimsum, and we missed the little trolley that some Dimsum restaurants use!
Memory Lane
When Tamsui station first opened in late 90’s there was a popular Dimsum restaurant underneath the platform, approximately where the bakery & 7-11 are now. They had a lot of delicious dimsum. Wonder what happened to that restaurant!
The trains used to rattle overhead as we were enjoying the various Dimsum dishes… the waiters would drive round the little cart with the latest dishes. And there was yellow mustard! Do Hong Kong restaurants even serve yellow mustard for Dimsum? I must find out!
