I was watching 2012… Why would you build giant arks that when the flood comes… disengage from the moorings… won’t they all bash into the rocks or each other?
Meanwhile a few people are extremely happy that they survived… but 8 billion others didn’t. I mean… where’s the empathy, man!!! Civilization just got wiped out but your ass is fine…!
Spoiler Alert: who needs a spoiler alert for a 15-year old movie!!!??? Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth all those 5.8 stars on IMDB. It’s truly cringeworthy and totally playing on viewers’ fears for the future.
“2012” is a 2009 disaster film directed by Roland Emmerich. The plot revolves around a series of catastrophic natural disasters triggered by a massive solar flare that heats the Earth’s core.
The story follows two main characters: Adrian Helmsley (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a geologist who discovers the impending disaster and warns the government; and Jackson Curtis (John Cusack), a struggling writer who fights to save his family amidst the chaos.
The world faces earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis, so governments secretly build arks to save a fraction of humanity. Jackson Curtis and his family embark on a perilous journey to reach these arks, encountering numerous challenges along the way.
This is not a serious movie review… so don’t shoot the blogger!
