I’m not sure ‘cleanest’ is something I prize above all else at an airport. Mind you, Edinburgh Airport would have to rank as close to the worst airport I’ve ever been through. I have to say it is ‘mostly’ efficient, but ‘classy’, ‘pleasant’ and ‘clean’ wouldn’t be the first, second or third adjectives that I’d apply to Edinburgh’s.
It’s hard to spend time beyond the initial euphoria of ‘travel’ wears off. Even a trip through some of the more interesting ones wears off rapidly, if you’re just off an intercontinental with no sleep and a connection in three hours.
