So apparently, and not uncommonly, I shot this image at ISO1600 in broad daylight, albeit there was some cloud cover and I was in the botanical gardens.

But 1/400 at ISO1600? Who shoots like that? I’m sure if I’d set it 1/200 and ISO400, I’d have got something quite useable and noticeably less grainy! Or even 1/100 and ISO200 would’ve been better. Damned Auto!

Now, of course, I fiddled with the filenames… I used to track via sequential numbers to verify that I didn’t have any missing shots. My file system is so disorganized that I often have shoots on non-contiguous folders in different cards. One day… I keep telling myself I’ll be organized. This file is now NIK_0001.nef. Damn!
