Last month, Statcounter reported a notable decrease in Windows 11’s market share, and the trend continued in April 2024. After reaching its all-time high of 28.16% in February 2024, Windows 11 plummeted below the 26% mark.

It’s a puzzle. Win11 should be improving numbers as the replacement cycle accelerates before Win 10 EOL. What is going on?
It ain’t because of me: I’ve already bought 2 win11 pcs in the last 12 months. It’s weird because I actually quite like Windows 11. It’s a much smoother upgrade than win2000, Vista or 8. It really feels more like windows 98 refining the previous iteration.
There is also the possibility that the stats are wrong as people discover how to turn off the system metrics shared through Settings. Dunno. What do you think?
