My friend posted an image of the railway bridge, quite famous in Scotland for its construction. It was built shortly after the Tay Bridge Disaster, so lessons learned from that regarding construction were applied successfully here.
it’s interesting that bridges are painted red. Also note the use of three arches! This is one of the shots I took in 2016. The newest bridge isn’t finished. LOL! I removed the color.
it is also interesting that there are three bridges now. The Forth Rail Bridge, The Forth Road Bridge, the Queensferry Crossing named after the town and its eponymous service. In fact, you can see two of the four ferries in this shot.
In fact Mom and Dad when they were cycling used to take the old ferry across the river. There was no other way for road traffic at the time. The ferries were discontinued immediately after the bridge opened.
