I use the Easiyo maker with their own yogurt mixes. Only the 2nd one didn’t work out so well, mostly because I didn’t know how to recover the runniness (longer time fermenting). I also use the commercial yogurts from the store: but not those with no sugar or thickeners or other weird additives!
A lot of Western yogurt is adulterated with lo-sugar, low-fat replacements which don’t really make good yogurt. In fact, I can’t eat low-fat yogurt now because it’s just … icky. The aftertaste of sweeteners is something that I can’t enjoy.
BUT I’ve been researching some of the commercial yogurt bacteria you can buy. I’m seriously confused. They’re pretty expensive, frozen and I have no idea where to buy. I need some of your suggestions! Thanks!
