LOL! Well… in our area, we have two supermarkets but neither of them is good enough to get everything. Combined they don’t even make one decent supermarket. There are times when I go in to buy stuff and leave with nothing because they didn’t stock any more, or they’ve done a promo and it’s sold out, or the particular product isn’t in their stock selection.
I used to think it’s because my tastes were ‘esoteric’ but then I would find the products in other branches or other supermarkets. So I know there’s a market for these. It’s very perplexing.
One market never sells bananas; the other never sells a particular chocolate cookie I like; one gives you tens of thousnds of points… but you discover they’re worth like NT$1 per 10000; the other runs promos but cheapskate customers ALWAYS clean out the stock first so you find for a 2 for 1 promo (yesterday coffee sold out except for one bag!)… there’s only one item left!!!
Neither sells really fresh vegetables… they’re always the bottom of the barrel. One can’t tell what cheese is; the other sells ice-cream that is half-melted and refrozen which I had to return.
