In common with many other ARC residents who pay regularly into the NHI as part of their salary, during the pandemic especially, we appreciate the efforts of the NHI, CDC and thousands of staff who work to support the health of the entire community.
As you know, the government recently mandated a new format for our ARC card numbers. However, on installing the app to book my covid vaccination and access regular NHI services, I was frustrated by your design choices when you failed to allow us to use the app to register because our ARC numbers (old and new ones) are incompatible.
While I understand from the feedback on your website and the reviews on Google, that you recommend using the website version… this is hardly an ideal outcome, but more the result of poor implementation of the government ARC mandates.
I noticed that the app is regularly updated… so six months after the new law was enacted, it is still a surprise to see that you have not implemented. Unfortunately, as a result, the app is entirely useless to me and pretty much all of us who live here with ARCs or PARCs.
Please fix this urgently. A pandemic is not the time to be denying or restricting access to vital services to people who live in Taiwan, just because of poor app development.
