Normally I do my own accounting using simple spreadsheets but I had so many projects going on that I used Google to look for a local accountant to help me.

My procedure to select the final accountant was:

1) send an email to 10 accountants I found in my city with a website, telling them each about my project and also, very important what I could afford. Due to this last fact, not all 10 responded to me.

2) looked at the responses I received and picked the top three, I called each one and spoke to them about 20 minutes, to see who I thought was the most knowledgeable and who had a friend disposition.

After going through this test, I found, let’s call him Bob. I agreed to test Bob’s ability and pay him for just two hours of work. But after I saw how thorough and how well Bob knew his job as an accountant, he became the account for me to use for all the paperwork for my business.

So now I always know with Bob, my records for my business are in order and I can look them over to see our company’s growth over this past year. When I go home, after a hard days work, I can totally relax and I know any time I want to review an analysis of my business, Bob has it all organized and up to date.

You have to love Bob, he does such a great job, I don’t have to think about it or worry that it will take me weeks to go through all my records to do my taxes. Having a good accountant can make all the difference in your life. Just a pity I can’t tell you exactly who he is.

You’ll just have to find and contact a cpa all by yourself!
