You have to be fat to have high cholestrol levels.

I remember one of my old bosses, a thin lady with barely an appetite. Turns out she was a prime candidate for cholesterol treatment. Why? She had high cholestrols in her blood stream, and it seemed weird, at the time.

A common assumption about cholestrol is that you have to be fat to have poor cholestrol: that lady clearly was not fat. Yet she was required to take cholestrol medication to reduce her LDLs to a reasonable level.

Asthma means you can’t breath

While you may have breathing difficulties, one of the most common signs of asthma is the coughing. Yet most people assume a person with a cough has flu or a cold or that asthma means breathlessness. Not always true.
