I was looking through some old photos from our first trip to the UK, which included this picture of the Tower of London. Nice one! I didn’t know I could take reasonable photos fifteen years ago.
That was an eventful trip as it was my first trip to the UK for a few years, and I felt a stranger in a strange land.
To ease the initial pangs of being ‘away from home’, I think we did quite a bit of shopping in London, as well as pack the presents we were given. Tip: never give someone a bunch of books, if they are traveling so far!
To accommodate all our fits, and shopping, I remember we bought a large piece of Samsonite luggage to bring our shopping home. That was an excellent case, in fact. Inside there was space even to have clothes on hangers!
Ah, I do love London.
