Well, Tomorrow is the first day of our holiday, and I’m going on a photowalk with some ‘friends’! Here are the details… if you see us, give us a wave, stop and chat, or just join us! Shoo! Don’t tell anyone I said that!
Craig’s emailed the latest details here
Hi everyone, just a few days to go until Photowalk.
Here’s a Google maps link to the exact start location. Thew address is 50 Songqin Rd, just a stones throw from Xinyi Rd and the World Trade Center. This is where the Daniel Pearl Day music festival was held in 2007, so some of you may remember it from then. There’s a bit of shade there so waiting for everyone to arrive should be fairly comfortable. I’ll aim to be there by 15:30 and it’d be great if we can start walking by 16:00. The map is also on the photowalk page http://worldwidephotowalk.com/taipei-tp-tw/
As previously mentioned, we’ll end up at Yuma around 18:30 or 19:00 where for NT$350 we can have a buffet dinner. The basement room has been reserved for us. Yuma is near Zhongxiao Dunhua MRT 21, Alley 11, Lane 216, ZhongXiao E Rd, Sec 4.
We can decide on the day if we want to walk in one big group or split into smaller groups. There are a few different ways to get from the start to the end so we’ll have plenty of options.
There are some great prizes this year, details of which can be seen at http://worldwidephotowalk.com/prizes/ Also, keep an eye on the main Photowalk page http://worldwidephotowalk.com/ as they’ll be posting the exact method for uploading and sharing pics sometime in the next week. Take a look through the various sections as well to get some tips, ideas and so forth.
etc.
I don’t have a really sophisticated camera, just a Lumix. But that doesn’t matter, since I’ll be focusing on two issues in my mind: finding good content for the photographs, and framing pictures properly.
See you tomorrow.
