I’m no expert in treadmills, but when I was a member of the gym a few years ago, they used to be my favorite piece of workout equipment. It wasn’t that I did much running on them. Apart from the fact that running is seriously bad for your knees, I created a new kind of exercise by emphasising the slant and the speed. This allowed me to burn upto 500 calories in a concentrated period.

Though I was not running at all, I sweated buckets, burned loads of calories, and got quite a workout. Eventually, I set times to complete the number of calories burned; and it was difficult to set an accurate number of calories at first. But whatever standard used, as long as you used the same one it didn’t matter.

I would like someone to invent a machine that can let you surf the net, listen to music and mix great healthy cocktails all at the same time! Anyone?
