Moving house is always difficult. Our friend and colleague, Terry, has just rented a bigger apartment in ChungHo and she had to pack everything into cardboard boxes, including her entire book collection, videos, CDs, clothes… When she moved into her new place, she was flabbergasted by the size of her new apartment. She felt she didn’t have any furniture.
I remember how we lived in Tienmou, and we literally had no sofa or any furniture at all for our living room. We were pretty busy at the time, too; so we didn’t have any time to go shopping. We ended up sitting on boxes for about a month or so, and our TV was propped up on an old table.
But you have such a freedom of space and it’s thrilling to contemplate all the furniture you can buy!… Looking around this place, I am almost wishing we could move again!
